Posters for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway
These posters were part of the "Reliable Service" campaign following the 1923 amalgamation of the numerous small railroads in Britain into what came to be known as the "Big Four". Arthur created this series of posters for the LMS in 1926. Each of Arthur's posters consisted of a picture and a poem by E.V. Knox (Evoe) - editor of Punch magazine between 1932 and 1949 - and a particular friend of Arthur's.
